Do you feel like substances have taken over your life?
If you feel like you’re being controlled by substances, you’re not alone. You’re among 9% of people in New Hampshire who were diagnosed with a substance use disorder in 2019. It’s a difficult condition to live with, whether you’re experiencing it firsthand or as a loved one.
If you’ve made the decision to accept treatment for your substance use, congratulations! But maybe the idea of healing in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people feels too daunting. You may fear judgment from others, worry about unattended responsibilities at home, or may not have the necessary transportation to go to and from a facility multiple times a week.
Thankfully, those concerns don’t have to prevent you from achieving recovery. Addiction Recovery Services offers private addiction treatment for anyone living with a substance use disorder who would rather receive treatment in the comfort of their home.
Private alcohol rehab consists of us coming to your home and delivering treatment to you there. At-home alcohol rehab ensures your privacy and comfortable surroundings to aid in healing from alcohol use disorder. It also allows for deeper family involvement in treatment and therapies and greater opportunities to change your environment into what’s most conducive to your recovery.
Addiction Recovery Services’ private drug treatment is set apart from others. It integrates case management with psychotherapy in your home, which allows us to address factors we otherwise might not be able to address in our regular intensive outpatient program. If you participate in our concierge rehab program, you’ll work with your case manager for up to six hours per week to establish a treatment program that will address every part of your substance use disorder. That includes treating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, executive functioning deficits, and more. We know each person is unique and that their treatment plan needs to be, too. Here are some of the benefits of our program:
Private drug rehab allows us to involve families more closely in the recovery process. We’ll teach them about their loved one’s substance use disorder and what they can do to foster an environment conducive to recovery. We believe that by working together, we can heal broken bonds and serve as mediators for any conflict between family members.
We offer weekly therapy sessions with a licensed professional, with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) at its core. By going through rehab at home, you can apply concepts you learn in therapy immediately. While CBT is common, we utilize two unique therapies that many others don’t: cue desensitization and environmental engineering. Cue desensitization involves careful exposure to stressors in a safe, highly supported environment. Environmental engineering enables us to modify the environment of the individual in treatment to make it conducive to more positive life changes.
We help facilitate positive life changes through cleanliness accountability, budgeting help, supportive employment services, appointment setting and management, educational support, and more. Clients’ case managers are easily accessible via email or phone five days a week for anything they may need, and they will receive weekly progress reports to further guide them and motivate them throughout treatment.
When someone is in crisis, we’re there for them too. Our team is trained for crisis management, so anyone seeking help from home can rest easy and know they and their loved ones are safe with us, no matter how they’re feeling.
At-home drug treatment is a good choice for anyone seeking help, but we know there are a lot of different treatment options, and it may be overwhelming. If any of the following sound like you, you may benefit the most from private addiction treatment:
You don’t have the time or ability to attend a program at a treatment facility
You want privacy during your treatment
You want more hands-on, individualized care
Adjusting your home environment may help in your recovery
You want your family to be more involved in the treatment process
There are many benefits to seeking addiction treatment at home. You’ll get to stay in the environment that is most comfortable for you, and better be able to adjust that environment to suit your treatment needs. We’ll walk alongside you during your care and help you make those changes to your lifestyle and whatever might hinder your recovery. If you choose private addiction treatment, you’ll have more hands-on involvement with your care and work closely with your case manager to achieve your goals.
Even though “private” is in the name, it’s worth stressing the privacy this program allows. If you aren’t comfortable talking to others about your substance use disorder but still want help, at-home addiction treatment is a great option for you. Your treatment will be entirely confidential, and you’ll be able to focus fully on yourself and the most important aspects of your life as you jumpstart the recovery process.
Private and Public Addiction Treatment: Differences
Public treatment is the traditional form of treatment everyone is familiar with. These programs typically emphasize group therapy and building a support system alongside like-minded people in recovery. The person seeking treatment will go to a facility and stay there for an amount of time that depends on their needs, undergoing different therapies.
Private addiction treatment takes place at the homes of anyone seeking help for their substance use disorder. It emphasizes the individual and offers hands-on, customized care. Treatment becomes about the person, their family, and their environment because all three are important components of recovery. There are no group therapy sessions; instead, different modalities, such as cue desensitization and environmental engineering, are incorporated.
Both are great options for people ready to take the first step in overcoming their substance use disorder. It just depends on each person’s recovery goals.
